NEW VAPOR EXTRACTION UNIT (V.E.U.)

Vapor Extraction Unit (V.E.U.)

"What would take the old tube-type extraction machine a month, we can now accomplish in a few days."
Marc Chapman, Director of Operations for Atmos Energy's Mid-Tex Division

The conception of the V.E.U. was developed by Atmos Energy. Their challenge was to remove residual gas quickly and safely, while monitoring the percent of gas in the moving air.

The V.E.U. was so successful at removing residual gas that pinpointing leaks and other applications were developed.

Utility Division Logo

MBW's Utility Division is a fast growing part of our business. We are attracted to the utility industry's wealth of opportunities for product improvement and innovation. Over the past 5 years we have identified and moved forward on a number of R&D projects intended to address problems for which there was pressing need, but no acceptable means of resolution. These have been stimulating opportunities for a company that derives real satisfaction from solving technical problems and/or developing altogether new technologies.

Soil Pick©

Soil Pick©:

The Soil Pick is a pneumatic soil excavation tool that locates and exposes buried underground utilities without risk of damage. Lightweight (6.5 lbs.), with zero hand/arm vibration, non-sparking and dielectric, the Soil Pick is an ergonomic and safe tool for use in gas enriched and high voltage environments.

Airammer©

Airammer©:

The Airammer isn't for everyone... but it's perfect for utility crews, municipalities and contractors with ready access to an air compressor. Eliminates maintenance problems associated with gasoline engines, produces comparatively low level of hand/arm vibration, low noise level and non-sparking operation. Provides high performance compaction over full range of backfill soils.

SCS2

SCS2:

Seismic technology supervises, or manages, the compaction process. Advises compactor operator when he has achieved optimal results and can terminate compaction. No laboratory soil analysis or instrument calibration required. The Soil Compaction Supervisor 2 (SCS2) self-calibrates on each new lift of soil. Documents key data on lift-by-lift basis for supervisory review and regulatory authorities.

Ergo-Tamp

Ergo-Tamp:

MBW's Ergo-Tamp is a pneumatic pole tamper specifically designed to minimize hand/arm vibration. A patent pending vibration suppressor located at the hand-held end of the tool reduces hand/arm vibration between 50 and 70%, depending on conditions of compaction.
